Keep the tips in mind as that is more important than your hourly wage. If you are anywhere near a casino try to become a cocktail waitress there. Next in tip money is fine dining, followed by grill, then diner. Of course the reputation the establishment is more important that the type of food served. If you can find a restaurant with a bar, see if they have a happy hour and if it increases the tips of the waitresses already working there. If it does, apply there. If you can work later on Friday and /or Saturday night do it, these are the money making nights. You wouldn't have to work later the other nights of the week. Also, those two nights are the ones that restaurants and bars need extra help with. Really good waitressing jobs with great tips don't come open that often. You usually have to start with the lousier shifts until you have experience. Waitressing can be very lucrative if you are a people person. Plus, you will meet many people that will see your own nails and become customers of your nail shop.I'm a new nail tech and I need a part time evening waitressing job till I make it, what type of restaurant
If you can work later than 5-9, work at a bar. People who drink generally tip a lot more and it is easier because you don't have to deal with food.
