I'm starting a new job tomorrow as a nail tech...Any helpful advice would be appreciated :)?

Take pride in your profession. Learn all you can. Never think you know it all and always be willing to learn and grow.

Show up when you say and be on time. Don't cancel for any reason other than being sick or an emergency.

Be a good listener. Be positive. Be friendly.

Dress appropriately. Shower daily. Do your hair and make-up. Don't wear sweats or raggy clothes. Your clients want you to look professional. If you dress professionally, you feel the part.

Be willing to sit there, day in and day out, as you build your clientele. You can't build it if you are not there. Be willing to give away some free services (or reduce the price) to get them in the door. It's up to you to get them to want to come back and re-book.

I've been doing nails for 16 years. I have a full clientele. I have one available appointment between now and the first week of December. I didn't get that clientele without working for it.I'm starting a new job tomorrow as a nail tech...Any helpful advice would be appreciated :)?
Be yourself......take your time and ask questions. dont be afraid to ask for help and when you are talking to clients, really listen and give honest answers. A lot of clients want a relaxing time and dont even talk to you during their services, and thats nothing personal, its just that everyone is different. ask them what they like and what they need. you are providing a service that they are paying for, so make it about them. good luck and have fun, its a great career.I'm starting a new job tomorrow as a nail tech...Any helpful advice would be appreciated :)?
Look your very best, freshen your breath every so often, wash your hands between clients, and for chats, make general statements that involve nothing personal.
Personal grooming.

Your n a line of work that emphasises personal grooming and fashion. Ensure that you look neat and clean, maybe a little fashionable if it's your style. And, as you're a nail technician, I'd make sure that my hands look moisturised and that the nails are, atleast, neatly filed and presentable.
