Nail Tech??

I haven't had my nails done in a year, so i decided to treat myself, My nails were already done, and drying under the UV light, when the nail tech who was working next to me, told the women she was working on that she had Nail fungus!! Should the tech keep working on this person?? I have used this nail place, for years before, and have never had a problem,The tech asked her if she has used any other nail salons in the past year, the lady said No, only you guys. So now im super nervous!!Nail Tech??
It's not the salons fault and you have nothing to worry about....The girl probley left her nails on too long and moisture got under the nail, resulting in the fungus...They also sanatize all their tools after every manicure and pedicure...It's a state law, So you have nothing to be worried about.Nail Tech??
Don't worry...the fungus issue with the other client isn't likely to be the salon's or the tech's fault. If she were to have had some ';lift'; in the acrylic and didn't have it corrected, it only takes a few days for water to get underneith and start a fungal infection. And it isn't ';catchy';, but the tech should disinfect all the tools she uses and each client should have their own nail file, which is used only on them each visit.

I don't think you have anything to worry about. Since her nails were not being worked on, there is very little chance of spread (no aerosols floating around). However, you should talk to the manager of the salon, and possibly to the Health department. Where I am from, we are regulated by that dept.
I would not go there that is really unsanitary! You could end up having to get your nail removed.
don't be nervous it's only like that because u havn't gone in a year!!!! Plus isn't that what therefor!!:]
that's very unsanitary. get ur nails done at another nail salon.
